This hands-on training session is designed to get teachers confident in using Scratch, as a programming language to use in the classroom with students.
In addition, the training course includes a 12-month subscription to Rainforest Coding, an online games-based approach to teaching scratch programming, which you can use with all students in your school. Home access is included and it’s perfect as an after school programming club activity.
The session will cover:
- Overview of the Scratch programming interface
- The key programming concepts when using Scratch
- Hands-on programming exercises
- Demonstration of Rainforest Coding and how it supports the teaching of Scratch
This 3-hour training session will be led by Simon Hosler, an ex-teacher and author of Crystal Rainforest, the award-winning programming software used by over 18,000 primary schools.
Your booking will provide space for 2 teachers to attend.
This course is suitable for teachers with little or no experience of using Scratch.
